About this list

575 SPACs here bundled warrants into their IPO units — the fraction per unit, from one whole warrant down to a quarter, is parsed from each prospectus and listed alongside the live pricing. A warrant is a five-year option to buy one more share after the merger closes, almost universally struck at $11.50.

Think of the fraction as the IPO's difficulty rating: sponsors give away as little optionality as demand allows, so a half- or whole-warrant unit tells you the book was harder to fill than a third- or quarter-warrant one. As instruments, warrants are the leveraged end of the structure — they can return multiples if a de-SPAC trades well above the strike, they can be called away when the stock sustains $18, and they go to zero in a liquidation without touching the trust.

Common questions

How do SPAC warrants work?

Each whole warrant lets you buy one share at $11.50 once the merger closes, for up to five years. Below the strike they trade on hope and time value; above it they mint discounted stock — though most agreements let the company force exercise if the shares sustain $18.

Why do different SPACs have different warrant fractions?

Supply and demand at the IPO. A sponsor who can sell units with only a quarter-warrant is giving less future dilution away; one who must attach a half or whole warrant needed a bigger sweetener to place the deal. The fraction is set in the prospectus and shown per unit in this table.

How many SPACs currently have warrants outstanding from their units?

575 on this list, spanning fractions from a quarter-warrant to a full warrant per unit. Every one of them prices some probability of a deal — and all of them expire worthless if their SPAC liquidates instead.
