Orkun Kilic is a London-based hedge fund manager and special purpose acquisition company executive who currently serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer and Director of Daedalus Special Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: DSACU), a role he has held since September 2025, having joined the board in August 2025. He is also a managing member of the SPAC's sponsor, Daedalus. Daedalus Special Acquisition Corp. raised $250 million in its upsized IPO on December 9, 2025, with BTIG serving as sole book-running manager, and is focused on building a diversified portfolio of profitable AI-powered consumer apps, with broad search parameters spanning consumer AI, fintech, mobile games, and corporate finance. Kilic shares the CEO role with Husnu Akin Babayigit, Managing Director of Arcadia Interactive Partners and co-founder of Tripledot Studios, while Nimika Karadia serves as CFO. The SPAC has a 24-month tenor with 100% of IPO cash in trust.
In parallel with his SPAC role, Kilic is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Berry Street Capital Management LLP, an event-driven hedge fund he established in July 2019 and headquartered at 50 Sloane Avenue, London. At its peak, Berry Street managed over $900 million in assets before Kilic returned capital to investors and closed the fund in 2023, citing rising interest rates and regulatory uncertainty. In March 2025, he relaunched Berry Street with approximately $200 million in commitments from investors including Qube Research & Technologies (QRT), one of the largest multi-strategy investment firms, which manages roughly $28 billion and has allocated to some 45 external managers. The fund resumed trading with two separately managed accounts and planned to launch a new fund later in the year targeting additional external investors, maintaining its event-driven strategy focused on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings. Kilic remained active in private investments during the fund's closure period.
Prior to founding Berry Street, Kilic had a distinguished career at Paulson & Co., joining the firm in 2011 as sole Portfolio Manager of the Paulson European Opportunities Fund. Within four years he was named Head of Paulson's European investments in 2015, and in January 2017 he was appointed Managing Partner of Paulson Europe LLP. Before Paulson, he worked at Morgan Stanley focusing on mergers and acquisitions, and earlier still he served as an investment analyst at FIBA Holdings, one of the largest investment firms in Turkey, covering both private and public investment opportunities. He has served on numerous public and private company boards pursuing transformational and shareholder value-enhancing initiatives, including Premier Foods PLC. His current UK Companies House appointments include directorships or designated member roles at Bercadia Limited (appointed October 2025), Arcadia Gaming Advisors LLP (appointed December 2024), Leeko Limited (appointed March 2024), Ascendx Angel SPV LLP (appointed August 2023), and Berry Street Capital Management LLP (appointed July 2019).
Kilic holds an MBA from Harvard Business School (2007–2009), graduated magna cum laude in Business Administration and Economics from Koç University in Turkey, and earned an MSc in Financial Engineering from Boğaziçi University in Turkey. Born in June 1980, he holds British and Turkish nationality and resides in England. His career spans event-driven investing, M&A advisory, and private and public company governance, positioning him at the intersection of hedge fund management and the SPAC ecosystem.
This record is keyed to SEC CIK 0002099042 — the identifier this person files under in their own name. Every vehicle above is a filing made under that CIK, so “the same person on two shells” is a fact about an SEC identifier rather than about a name that happens to match.
Roles are the strings the filings used, in the order they were filed. Nothing on this page ranks them, infers seniority, or offers a reason why any two of these names recur — a recurrence is a count, and the filings that produced it are linked beside every row. We also hold 5 institutional-holder rows on these vehicles, under 4 distinct name strings, and none of them is counted across vehicles: that table has no CIK column, and matching holders by name would merge firms that are not the same firm.
