Mr. Tham is currently a part-time consultant at Bain Capital, LP since 2024. Prior to this, Mr. Tham served as chairman of the board of directors of China Life Insurance Company in Taiwan from 2021 to 2023, where he was responsible for setting the strategic direction and vision, leading the board of directors, and ensuring governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management. From 2018 to 2021, he served as the regional chief executive officer of Tokio Marine Asia in Singapore, where he oversaw thirteen life and general insurance businesses across Southeast Asia and India. From 2013 to 2016, Mr. Tham served as the chief executive officer of AIA Thailand in Bangkok, leading the company’s operation in Thailand. Earlier in his career, Mr. Tham held senior executive roles at Allianz SE from 2012 to 2013, Chubb Group (formerly ACE Group) from 2004 to 2012, Huatai Life Insurance Co., Ltd. from 2004 to 2009, and New York Life Insurance Company across various markets in Asia from 1993 to 2004. He began his career in Canada at London Life Insurance Company from 1989 to 1993, progressing from actuarial trainee to product manager for the Taiwan project team.
