Fu Qiang has served as our independent director since May 2026. Dr. Fu currently serves as the academic director of the Executive MBA (“EMBA”) Program and a professor at the Department of Strategy and Policy at the National University of Singapore Business School (“NUS Business School”). He joined National University of Singapore in 2005 and has since held various academic roles, teaching a wide range of courses including Managerial Economics (MBA), Game Theoretical Modelling (Ph.D.), and Macroeconomics and International Finance (EMBA). Dr. Fu received the Outstanding EMBA Teaching Award from NUS Business School and was recognized by Singapore Business Review as one of Singapore’s most influential business professors under 40 in both 2015 and 2016. From 2015 to 2021, he also served as chairman of the board of directors of Tong Yang Life Insurance Company in Korea. Dr. Fu obtained his Ph.D. in economics from Indiana University, Bloomington in 2005 and a Master of Science in management from National University of Singapore in 2000. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in management and economics from Peking University in 1998, where he studied at Guanghua School of Management. As an applied game theorist, his research focuses on the economics of contests and tournaments and organizational economics.
