David G. Savett is an Independent Director of Rice Acquisition Corporation 3 (NYSE: KRSP), a blank check company that priced its $300 million IPO on September 30, 2025, and began trading on October 1, 2025. The SPAC, sponsored by the Rice family and led by CEO J. Kyle Derham, CFO James Wilmot Rogers, and Chief Strategy Officer Anne Cameron, is focused on identifying a target business across the energy value chain, with particular interest in upstream oil and gas, power generation, energy infrastructure, and critical metals and minerals. Savett was appointed to the board alongside Brian Falik, Dr. Kathryn Jackson, and D. Mark Leland. He is also a director and ten-percent owner of the company, with his mailing address listed in Coral Gables, Florida.
Savett brings over 20 years of experience in finance, investing, and trading to his role at Rice Acquisition Corp. 3. Since April 2025, he has served as a Senior Advisor to Mercuria, a global energy and commodities firm, where he focuses on capital strategies and partnerships across the firm's investment portfolio and broader investment activities. In this capacity, he advises the Chief Investment Officer on sourcing, structuring, managing, and exiting investments, as well as identifying funding and strategic partnership opportunities. He is also a Managing Partner at Dock Square Capital, a merchant banking firm he helped found in 2016, where he played a key role across the firm's buildout, principal investing, and operational activities. Prior to founding Dock Square, Savett joined its predecessor firm, Britton Hill, in 2013 and served as a Managing Partner there until 2020, accelerating the buildout of the firm's principal investing and advisory platforms. He is additionally Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Fort James Holdings LLC, a family office holding company, and has been identified as Managing Partner of BH Logistics LP.
Earlier in his career, Savett was part of the Global Commodities Group at Credit Suisse, where he led physical natural gas and Texas electricity trading and was a core member of the Commodity Linked Finance Group, delivering innovative commodity solutions to the bank's investment banking clients. Before Credit Suisse, he held roles in energy trading and investment banking at Bank of America. Savett has served on the boards of NYSE-listed Dorian LPG Ltd., a liquefied petroleum gas shipping company, where he has been a director since April 2015, and privately held Inflection Energy. His SEC filings reflect ownership positions in both Dorian LPG (LPG) and Rice Acquisition Corp. 3 (KRSP). Savett earned a bachelor's degree from Emory University in 2003.
This record is keyed to SEC CIK 0001638220 — the identifier this person files under in their own name. Every vehicle above is a filing made under that CIK, so “the same person on two shells” is a fact about an SEC identifier rather than about a name that happens to match.
Roles are the strings the filings used, in the order they were filed. Nothing on this page ranks them, infers seniority, or offers a reason why any two of these names recur — a recurrence is a count, and the filings that produced it are linked beside every row. We also hold 10 institutional-holder rows on these vehicles, under 7 distinct name strings, and none of them is counted across vehicles: that table has no CIK column, and matching holders by name would merge firms that are not the same firm.
