George Murnane is a seasoned aviation and finance executive who currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Jet.AI Inc. (NASDAQ: JTAI), a Las Vegas-based company that has evolved from a private-aviation technology platform into AI data center infrastructure. He simultaneously holds the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Director at AI Infrastructure Acquisition Corp. (NYSE: AIIA), a blank-check company that closed a $138 million IPO in August 2025 and is searching for a target in artificial intelligence and data center infrastructure. Murnane's SPAC track record includes his prior involvement with Oxbridge Acquisition Corp., which completed its merger with Jet Token to form Jet.AI, giving him a 50% merger completion rate across two SPAC vehicles with aggregate capital deployed of approximately $201.5 million. His estimated net worth, based on reported shareholdings across Jet.AI, Mesa Air Group, Public Service Corp of Texas, and AI Infrastructure Acquisition Corp., is approximately $7.02 million.
Murnane's career spans more than three decades and is distinguished by the unusual sequence of building deep financial expertise before transitioning into operating roles. He began at Chemical Bank in New York as assistant secretary and lending officer, where he developed over $500 million in new business assets and helped establish a Canadian mining finance presence. In 1985, he joined Lazard Freres & Co. as an associate in the M&A department, assisting in leveraged buyouts, divestitures, and takeover defense. From 1986 to 1996, he served as a Director in Merrill Lynch & Co.'s Transportation Group in New York, where he spent nine years raising more than $42 billion across upward of 150 transactions in aviation, logistics, and related sectors. He originated and managed numerous IPOs ranging from $50 million to over $1 billion, helped develop the Public Equipment Trust Certificate market for the airline industry, and served as aviation advisor to the unsecured creditors in both the TWA and Tower Air bankruptcies. After pricing the Atlas Air IPO from the banker's seat in 1995, he joined Atlas Air itself as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, guiding the company's transition from private to public and overseeing a six-month growth in sales revenues from $86 million to $115 million and operating profit from $23 million to $30 million.
In 1996, Murnane became Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at International Airline Support Group, Inc., leading the financial restructuring of the worldwide aircraft supplier before being appointed Chief Operating Officer. That same year, he became one of four founding partners of Barlow Partners, LP, an investment partnership specializing in airline management, M&A, and aviation finance with publicly disclosed investments in Continental Airlines, International Airline Support Group, Mesa Air Group, and Virgin Express. He sat on the boards of both International Airline Support Group and Mesa Air Group until October 2003. In 2000, he co-founded North-South Airways in Atlanta as one of two founding officers, authoring the initial business plan, raising over $1 million in private equity, and serving as COO and CFO of the Part 135 air carrier operating Embraer EMB-120 aircraft in freight and passenger service. He subsequently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Mesa Air Group in Phoenix, where he managed corporate finance, SEC filings, strategic planning, and M&A, including Mesa's takeover attempt of Atlantic Coast Airlines and the acquisition of Midway Airlines. In 2008, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer and acting Chief Financial Officer of VistaJet Holding SA, based across Farnborough, Salzburg, and Zurich, where he spearheaded the firm's five-year growth plan, helped design VistaJet's revolutionary Flight Solutions program, negotiated the acquisition of Skyjet International, and financed and managed VistaJet's $1.25 billion
This record is keyed to SEC CIK 0001060584 — the identifier this person files under in their own name. Every vehicle above is a filing made under that CIK, so “the same person on two shells” is a fact about an SEC identifier rather than about a name that happens to match.
Roles are the strings the filings used, in the order they were filed. Nothing on this page ranks them, infers seniority, or offers a reason why any two of these names recur — a recurrence is a count, and the filings that produced it are linked beside every row. We also hold 43 institutional-holder rows on these vehicles, under 21 distinct name strings, and none of them is counted across vehicles: that table has no CIK column, and matching holders by name would merge firms that are not the same firm.
