Orestes Fintiklis is a Miami-based investor, hospitality entrepreneur, and SPAC sponsor who currently serves as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ITHAX Acquisition Corp. III (NASDAQ: ITHA), a special purpose acquisition company that raised $230 million in its initial public offering on December 12, 2025, with Cantor Fitzgerald serving as lead underwriter. ITHAX Acquisition Corp. III is focused on identifying a business combination within the AI, robotics, digital assets, fintech, leisure, hospitality, travel, and related technology and services sectors, targeting an enterprise value in excess of $500 million, with a primary geographic focus on the United States and a secondary focus on Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Fintiklis is also the managing member of ITHAX Acquisition Sponsor III LLC, the sponsor entity of the SPAC, and holds approximately 25% ownership in the company, valued at roughly $76.7 million. The board of ITHAX Acquisition Corp. III includes independent directors Ioannis Tsoutsias, Rahul Vir, and Tim Ryan.
Fintiklis is the founder and Managing Partner of Ithaca Capital Partners LLC, a hospitality and travel-focused private equity investment firm established in 2017 and based in Miami, Florida. Ithaca Capital owns several hotel properties across Latin America, including assets in Panama and Colombia. Prior to forming ITHAX Acquisition Corp. III, Fintiklis was the sponsor, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of ITHAX Acquisition Corp., the first SPAC in the ITHAX series, which was described as a strategic collaboration between Ithaca Capital and AXIA Ventures Group, a real estate and hospitality firm with decades of experience developing and managing hotels and resorts. Through ITHAX Acquisition Corp., Fintiklis led the SPAC merger that took Mondee Holdings public in a transaction valued at approximately $1 billion, which closed in the first half of 2022. Mondee is a Silicon Valley-based travel technology marketplace and platform connecting over 500 airlines and more than 50,000 gig and remote travel agents, with over $3 billion in sales and a ten-year operating history at the time of the deal. The transaction launched with $300 million in cash from the SPAC, with investors including Morgan Stanley and major private equity funds.
Following the Mondee merger, Fintiklis was appointed Vice Chairman of the Board and Chief Corporate Strategy and Business Development Officer of Mondee Holdings in July 2022, and subsequently served as Executive Vice Chairman of Mondee Holdings beginning in November 2023. In that capacity, he was involved in the company's approach to acquisitions and post-merger integrations, as well as broader corporate strategy in the travel technology sector. Before his career in hospitality and private equity, Fintiklis practiced law, which he ultimately left behind to pursue investing in luxury hotel properties and the travel industry. He has been featured in industry podcasts and interviews, including Booking.com's partner platform and the "Insider's Guide to Finance" podcast, where he discussed his investment philosophy, rebranding strategies for struggling or controversial properties, and his approach to flipping underperforming hospitality assets.
One of Fintiklis's most widely publicized achievements was Ithaca Capital's acquisition of the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Panama City, a luxury waterfront property from which he successfully evicted the Trump Organization as operator in 2018. The high-profile confrontation drew extensive media coverage and reportedly led to litigation in which a sitting president of the United States sued him for $200 million. Following the removal of the Trump brand, the property was rebranded and is now operated by JW Marriott as one of the most popular luxury destinations in Panama. Fintiklis leveraged the visibility from the Trump hotel acquisition to pursue other prize properties in Latin
This record is keyed to SEC CIK 0001828874 — the identifier this person files under in their own name. Every vehicle above is a filing made under that CIK, so “the same person on two shells” is a fact about an SEC identifier rather than about a name that happens to match.
Roles are the strings the filings used, in the order they were filed. Nothing on this page ranks them, infers seniority, or offers a reason why any two of these names recur — a recurrence is a count, and the filings that produced it are linked beside every row. We also hold 45 institutional-holder rows on these vehicles, under 20 distinct name strings, and none of them is counted across vehicles: that table has no CIK column, and matching holders by name would merge firms that are not the same firm.
