David Boris is a seasoned Wall Street executive and special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) veteran currently serving as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Highview Merger Corp. (NASDAQ: HVMC), a blank check company that raised $230 million in its August 12, 2025 IPO led by Jefferies. Based in Delray Beach, Florida, Boris has led Highview since April 2025 alongside President Taylor Rettig, with a mandate to identify and partner with exceptional private companies. The SPAC has a 24-month tenor and is currently in the pre-deal stage. At approximately 65 years old, Boris brings over three decades of mergers and corporate finance experience to the role.
Boris's SPAC career is extensive and distinguished. He served as Co-Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Forum Merger IV Corporation from January 15, 2021, and held the same roles at Forum Merger III Corporation from its inception. Prior to those vehicles, he was Co-CEO, CFO, and Director of Forum I from its inception in November 2016 until its business combination with ConvergeOne, after which he served on ConvergeOne's board of directors until the company's acquisition by CVC in January 2019 at $12.50 per share. He also served as Co-CEO, CFO, and Director of Forum II from its inception in May 2018 until its business combination with Tattooed Chef, and he continues to serve on the board of directors of Tattooed Chef. Additionally, Boris was a Director of Pacific Special Acquisition Corp. from July 2015 until August 2017 and has served as an Independent Director at Electric Last Mile Solutions, Inc. Across his career, Boris has been involved in approximately 20 SPAC transactions as an advisor, investment banker, and/or officer or board member, including ten business combinations totaling over $5.0 billion in aggregate value.
Before his SPAC leadership roles, Boris held senior positions in traditional investment banking and financial services. He served as Senior Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking at Pali Capital, Inc. starting in 2007. From 1999 to 2000, he was President of Ladenburg Thalmann Group Inc. and simultaneously served as Executive Vice President and Head of Investment Banking at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc. from 1998 to 2000. He was also a co-founder, director, and principal stockholder of Brenner Securities Corporation and its successors. Earlier in his career, Boris was a Senior Vice President and Limited Partner at Oppenheimer & Company Inc. and began his professional journey in 1984 as a member of the Business Development Group at W.R. Grace & Company, where he worked until 1985. From November 2010 to May 2013, he served as Chairman of Primcogent Solutions LLC, leading the board during the company's preparation for a voluntary bankruptcy reorganization filed in 2013.
Boris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Vassar College and an M.B.A. from Columbia University Business School. He is an active member of the Young Presidents' Organization, a global network of over 25,000 chief executives. His deep expertise in capital markets, special purpose acquisition companies, and asset management, combined with his track record of executing complex business combinations and serving on public company boards, positions him as a well-qualified leader for Highview Merger Corp. as it seeks to complete its first transaction.
This record is keyed to SEC CIK 0001522248 — the identifier this person files under in their own name. Every vehicle above is a filing made under that CIK, so “the same person on two shells” is a fact about an SEC identifier rather than about a name that happens to match.
Roles are the strings the filings used, in the order they were filed. Nothing on this page ranks them, infers seniority, or offers a reason why any two of these names recur — a recurrence is a count, and the filings that produced it are linked beside every row. We also hold 47 institutional-holder rows on these vehicles, under 20 distinct name strings, and none of them is counted across vehicles: that table has no CIK column, and matching holders by name would merge firms that are not the same firm.
