Eric S. Swider is a seasoned executive, investor, and SPAC sponsor who currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and Director of Renatus Tactical Acquisition Corp I (NASDAQ: RTACU), a special purpose acquisition company targeting businesses in the cryptocurrency and blockchain, data security, and dual-use technology sectors. He has held the CEO role at RTAC since July 2024 and led the company through its upsized $241.5 million IPO on the Nasdaq Global Market in May 2025, ringing the Nasdaq opening bell on May 23, 2025. Headquartered at 1825 Ponce, Suite 260, Coral Gables, FL 33134, Renatus Tactical was co-founded alongside Trump Media & Technology Group CEO Devin Nunes, who chairs the SPAC's board, and Alexander Cano, who serves as Chief Operating Officer. The SPAC's leadership team has deep ties to Trump Media, and Swider himself is a board member of Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), having played a central role in one of the most complex and closely watched public mergers of the past decade.
Swider's most prominent prior role was as CEO of Digital World Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: DWAC), the blank-check company that completed its merger with Trump Media & Technology Group in March 2024 after a protracted and contentious 29-month process. He originally joined DWAC as a director in September 2021 and served as interim CEO before being appointed permanent CEO effective July 6, 2023. During his tenure at DWAC, he chaired both the Compensation and Audit Committees. The DWAC-TMTG merger was marked by significant regulatory scrutiny, including SEC fraud charges settled for $18 million, insider trading charges against a former board member, and multiple legal disputes, but ultimately resulted in the public listing of Trump's media company and Truth Social platform. Forbes reported that Swider was a Trump Media board member and led the company that merged with it, while also noting that Attorney General Pam Bondi consulted for Renatus LLC, a separate company founded by Swider, and received $3 million worth of Digital World shares for her services.
Beyond his SPAC roles, Swider founded Renatus Advisors LLC in 2020 and has served as Managing Partner of Renatus LLC since June 2016, where he advises both private and public clients on complex legal, strategic, and operational matters and provides solutions for accessing capital markets. From September 2016 to January 2018, he served as Managing Director of Great Bay Global, overseeing the launch of a new business division focused on alternative investment strategies. From December 2014 to June 2016, he was Managing Director of OHorizons Global, where he expanded a new investment team and grew the firm's global client base and investment portfolio. He also previously held roles at Bennessere Capital Acquisition Corp. In addition, Swider is the co-founder and CEO of Rubidex LLC, a startup focused on SCADA systems protection and decentralized data encryption for industrial controls, a position he has held since 2020. His LinkedIn profile also lists him as CEO at LUXE USA in the Detroit Metropolitan Area, with an education at the University of Detroit Mercy.
Swider's career began with six years of service in the U.S. Navy, during which he completed three overseas deployments. He subsequently built over 25 years of experience across multiple industries, developing expertise in financial, transactional, and operational matters including debt restructuring and negotiations, strategic planning, complex project management, and cross-border multinational P&L and M&A experience. He previously ran a private equity investment firm from start-up, building a diverse global pipeline across multiple asset classes with a focus on industrial, energy, and automotive sectors including electric vehicle platforms. He has been directly involved in complex distressed portfolio transactions encompassing sourcing, underwriting, finance, risk management, oversight, and exit strategy, and has created investm
This record is keyed to SEC CIK 0001836937 — the identifier this person files under in their own name. Every vehicle above is a filing made under that CIK, so “the same person on two shells” is a fact about an SEC identifier rather than about a name that happens to match.
Roles are the strings the filings used, in the order they were filed. Nothing on this page ranks them, infers seniority, or offers a reason why any two of these names recur — a recurrence is a count, and the filings that produced it are linked beside every row. We also hold 7 institutional-holder rows on these vehicles, under 3 distinct name strings, and none of them is counted across vehicles: that table has no CIK column, and matching holders by name would merge firms that are not the same firm.
